The Warwickshire Cluster Project involved 9 Kenilworth Primary and Early Years settings working alongside artists Barbara Jones and Dawn Powell to explore the impact of creative practice in the classroom. Staff from each setting took part in training workshops led by the artists, followed by observation and planning sessions back at school. Creative learning environments and open-ended processes were modelled in each setting to explore and develop the children's language and literacy skills. The project allowed teachers and staff to extend their confidence in using found, natural and recycled resources, and select exciting, open-ended materials for the pupils to investigate.
