Corporate Social Responsibility

The Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment describes Corporate Social Responsibility as "practices which demonstrate how companies are aligning their values and behaviour with the expectations and needs of their stakeholders - not just their customers and investors but also employees, suppliers, communities, regulators, special interest groups and society as a whole".

So when a project such as WEAVE appears it offers an ideal opportunity for businesses to reduce their waste disposal costs, make the regulator happy because, as a low risk operation WEAVE assists companies to divert waste from landfill, and to fulfill many CSR requirements.

Working with WEAVE, whether as a donor of materials, or in a more involved way, demonstrates companies' commitment to the environment through pushing up through the waste hierarchy and working in the local community, helping children to understand and appreciate environmental, social and economic issues which affect us all.

If you or someone you know would like to support the centre with material donations then please contact us on 01926 430 068 or email louisesherratt@warwickshire.gov.uk. As part of the development of our business partnerships we would like to thank the below suppliers for their kind donations of materials to WEAVE:
