Eco Schools Day

Year 5 pupils from Shipston Primary School, Brailes C of E Primary School, Acorns Primary School, Newbold & Tredington C of E Primary School, Ilmington C of E Primary School and Quinton Primary School spent a day working at Shipston High School exploring environmental and sustainability themed workshops. WEAVE delivered a fun session for groups to work in teams and create a recycling super hero from the waste resources offered. Exciting creatures were created from the resources which had imaginative super powers including solar panel energy boosters, waste burning engines and lazers to destroy waste.

The children took one look at the amazing array of colourful shapes and materials that WEAVE had provided and dived straight in. Within minutes they were producing structures which were inventive and amusing: each completely different from the next. The level of communication was striking." - Pat Harris, Shipston Transition Group
