WEAVE
WEAVE offers an ordered environment for adults and children to represent their multiple realities and weave possible worlds from a combination of recycled materials, artefacts, light (natural and artificial) and space that can be encountered and reworked in endlessly changing ways. It provides a palette of experiences for exploration and expression through a variety of activities: art, music, movement, dance, imaginative and role-play activities.
It captures and makes permanent moments of curiosity, intense concentration, exploration and play through documentary records that encompass encounters by children, their ideas, thoughts, feelings and actions as they interact with their social, cultural and physical world.
WEAVE is a vehicle to illuminate the whole learning process. Creativity and the arts have an essential place in education and development whatever the social and economic circumstances of the day and never more so than in a fast-changing world with changing views about work and non-work, formal and informal learning, the role and purpose of schooling and a changing curriculum.
